HONEYMOON

So, I spent about 7 hours on the wedding and reception pictures last night and didn't get to the honeymoon so here i am, adding more pictures. I will explain them as they go.

DAY BEFORE THE CRUISE, DAY AFTER THE WEDDING. SEPTEMBER 13TH:
was the longest day of my life. After the wedding, We were told by CJ's dad (who booked our flight) That because of the lovely hurricane Ike, the Dallas Texas Airport was entirely close. our layover was supposed to be there so we had to totally change our flight. We were originally supposed to leave Salt Lake City at 12:30 P.M. but because we had to change our flight with a different airline, we had to leave Salt Lake City at 6:30 in the morning.
That morning, when we went to the airport, we were running a little late due to being exhausted and having a hard time waking up. I had not grabbed the marriage certificate because i did not think that anything was under my new married name. I knew the cruise wasn't and i didn't think that the flight would be. When we got there, we got our tickets and we found out that mike had put my last name as McNichols on the ticket. We had 45 minutes till our flight was going to leave and they don't check your bags in no later than 30 minutes. after arguing with the lady for 10 minutes, CJ finally asked for a supervisor. We sat there trying to find a way to get on this plane with this guy. In the mean time, my sister was on her way bringing the certificate. Finally, the guy agreed to check our bags and he said to wait till she brought it so that we could get through security. we made it JUST in time. What a nightmare...hu?
To make the rest of the day a quicker story, there was a little kid who was sitting in front of us crying the whole 4 hour flight and the mother was doing nothing about it and when she was... she was just slapping him and yelling at him to shut up, we had a 6 hour lay over in Atlanta Georgia, had an annoying guy sitting next to us on the next plane talking about his business and basically degrading us because he found out we were married and thought we were too young, And then 0nce we FINALLY got to our hotel in Miami, we were told that the room was cancelled because they couldn't charge it on my card. Luckily, they had a room for us but it was no long the king size bed that i had reserved. It was 2 full size beds. We were so tired, and grumpy, and hungry by the time we got to our room but we didn't want to leave the room. so we ordered pizza. ha ha. talk about CRAZY!!! SO, that is the end of the day. moving on with the rest of the trip. "sigh"

DAY ONE:
Sunday Sept. 14th. Getting on the boat really was not that bad and once we did, we were pleased! this is a few pictures of us on our balcony with the city behind us.

CJ tried to get a picture of us through the window so that you could see more of the city.

Everyday, after dinner, they would turn down the bed and make a little animal out of a towel. It was soo cool. This was a seal. CUTE HU!

DAY 2:
It was a day at sea so we didn't do much but explore the boat and figure out where things were. It was one of the 2 days that was a formal night at dinner so here we are, dressed up for dinner. It was fun. The first 2 days that we were there, we were sitting at a table with just the 2 of us and we wanted to sit at a table with people. When the head guy came and asked us if we were happy with the table we asked him if there was a way that we could sit at a table with some more couples. He said yes and the rest of the trip, we were sitting with a group of couples that were close to our age and we became really close. Mandy & Shane and Joey & Steph. We still talk to Mandy & Shane all the time and are really hoping that we are able to visit them soon. :)
That night we got an elephant!

DAY 3:
Day three we got to go to our first port. GRAND CAYMAN!

The water was so blue. All we did at this port was hang out at the beach. It was perfect.

After we went to the beach, we stopped at margaritaville and got something to eat.

This is what the little boats looked like that got us from the boat to shore and back on the boat.

The name of our ship was Carnival Valor. It was a really big boat and i got lost all the time. ha ha

That night we got a Dog.

DAY 4:
We were at port (Roatan) really early that morning but we were not ready to go on shore yet. CJ played in a ping pong tournament and actually got really far in it. It was fun to watch! For those of you family members who think that CJ is violent when he plays ping pong... He hit the girl that was keeping score. HA HA! (You can see her in the background, far right with the blue pants on)
Just being goofy.

When we got on the port, there were these people dressed up in these really weird costumes. They were dancing and singing and it was really cool to watch.

These were some guys that were playing these instruments. It sounded really cool. The old man in the middle was so happy and had this biggest toothless smile in the world. HA HA. it was great!

Right when we started hitting the shops, we had people bombarding us with things they wanted to sale. little kids that were trying to sale bracelets for only a dollar. We had this little boy following us around for 15 minutes and I couldn't find out what he was trying to say to us so instead i just asked if i could have a picture. he nodded. he was so sweet. after he followed us around I finally understood what he was saying. "Spider Monkeys" and he was pointing down the street. We decided that we were going to head that way anyway and when we did... (cont... to next picture)

We saw the monkeys. They were so stinking cute. This little guy ended up being so scared that climbed around my torso a few times and ended up on my head but we did not get a picture of it. it was cute!

Look at his little feet wrapped around CJ's wrist. I wanted to take one home!

After being bugged by so many people, we ran into this really nice guy and said that he would take us on a 2 hour tour, for 15 dollars each, so we did it. it was a nice little tour. not much to see in the little island. The last stop that we went to was this cute little restaurant that was on the beach. it was called Barefoot Cafe or something like that. It was all outdoors with just a roof that covered it up made out of basically just grass. I was hungry and craving crab so... We got the KING crab and MAN was it king! they put it in front of us and i could not believe how big it was. The shell had to of been at least half an inch thick. Me, being retarded like I am, tried to break the shell myself. I had my nails done for the wedding and when i tried to break it, my finger slipped and ripped my entire nail off. NOT just the fake nail, but took the real one with it. There is no words to describe the pain. i ate, maybe, half the crab and then we had to go. It was just hurting way too bad. I just wanted to get back on the boat and get it taken care of. my nail is STILL trying to grow back.

After the whole thing with my nail we just went back to the boat, had dinner and just enjoyed the rest of the night. That night we got a swan!

DAY 5:
Belize. This was probably my favorite port. We actually did an excursion and we had so much fun with it. We went on a horse back ride through the jungle. We got a lot of pictures bot not a lot came through of things that we saw. We saw TONS of termite nests in the trees EVERYWHERE, We saw a monkey that sounded like a bore or a wild hog. It growled in a way that you don't think a monkey would growl. We saw a real live wild baby armadillo, and we saw a cool little snake in a bush. It was so much fun and so beautiful. CJ's horse was name rascal...

My horses name was Apache

Here we are together.

After we went on our horse tour, there was a meal that was included in our tour and in the meal we had some Belize favorites (just like pizza is America's favorite) We had potato salad, rice, beans, some kinda of chicken, something else, i cant remember, papaya (which really wasn't that good) and fried plantains (spelling?) plantains are like bananas. It was so good. This is the little restaurant that we ate in.

Next to this eating area, there was this beautiful pool

And some hammocks.

That night, we got a monkey. He was my favorite!

Day 6:
Cozumel. wasn't my favorite port. we didn't stay that long. we just walked around the shops and went to senior frogs and had some chips and guacamole. This was the boat right after we got off the port. its HUGE!!!

I don't know how to flip this picture so you may need to tilt your head but i had to show it. It is NOT a statue. ITS A REAL MAN!!!! he spray painted himself in gold and stands on that gold.... thing.... and then asks for money if you take his picture.

I have no idea. I just thought it was cool!!

We got a view of our boat from our seat at Senior Frogs. I thought that was so cool!

That night, it was another formal night at dinner. This is a picture of our friend Shane dancing with our waiter. It was so funny. I was laughing so hard!

Shane & Mandy! They were on their honeymoon too and we got married the same day! how cute is that! We miss them so much.

Joey and Steph! They lived in florida and are now moving to california. We hope to be able to see them soon too.

And us, again, all dressed up.

that night we got a pig. They put my sunglasses on him. he was crossing his arms like he was cool. it was SO cute! i just had to get pictures.

DAY 7:
It was just a day at sea and really didnt do much but loung around and do nothing. we went to dinner and went to a show. That night we got a stingray! And that was the end. The next day we got on the airplane and went home to start our lives. it was a blast. I cant wait to go back on another Cruise!

You hear so many horror stories about cruises, I'm glad you didn't get sick or get some kind of crazy disease or whatever else could possible happen! :) Oh and PS yeah, nothing like ripping a nail off, I can TOTALLY relate and there is NOTHING in this world that hurts like that! Yowsah!
